Calgary Wedding Photography -- Mel & Dave

I'm back on the blog!

Mel and Dave are something of a unique couple. Why? Well, they met on the internet, but it wasn't a dating site. It was an online forum for lovers of all things Mitsubishi! The live together, they love together, and...they tune their cars together! A couple after my own heart!

Oh yeah...Mel is also a Rollergirl. Sweet.

As per usual, click on the photos to see the larger version.

I don't know if I've ever seen a grandma more proud...

I also didn't know that lacing up the bride's dress was in the photographer's job description! Do I know how to lace up a corset or what? :)

Pinning boutonnieres is also my wedding-day duty!

Did I mention how awesome these two are? In proper techno-geek fashion, Dave read his vows off a Kobo eReader, and Mel read hers off her Blackberry! I love it!

Music-trivia based drinking games...at a wedding?!?! Again, with the awesome!

And to top it all off, DJs in full YMCA ensemble!

Thank you so much for letting Nat and I capture your big day! We're looking forward to seeing Mel in action in the roller derby rink soon!

Tim & Amanda - Calgary Engagement Photography

Nat and I had the absolute pleasure of shooting Tim and Amanda down at Elbow falls. It was a perfect spring morning and we got there early enough that there weren't many sightseers present to gawk at the crazy photographers shooting at the edge of the rocks!

They requested some very unique photos, but we'll save those for after their wedding in November...it's a surprise for their guests!

Jenny & Darren - Calgary Maternity Photography

Let's get this started...again.

I recently realized that my blogging habits were falling by the wayside (not that they existed in any reasonable sense to begin with). That's all about to change! I'm no longer limiting this blog to my professional work. Henceforth, I'll be including my personal photos as well.

Also, I'll try and avoid using words like "henceforth". I will, however, attempt to work "forsooth!" in there at some point in the near future...

It only makes sense that my first, rebooted post begins with a few photos of some dear friends of mine: Jenny and Darren, and their soon-to-be bundle of infant-y goodness. This was my first maternity photo session, and mildly impromptu (the gorgeous orange backdrop is the wall behind our dining room table).
